You don’t want unauthorized parties to have access to your information. And you should be secure in the knowledge that they can’t. Why do we process your data?
We process your data to be able to carry out your booking or send you the information or products that you have requested.

We process your data based on the mediation agreement you have entered into with Bureau Toerisme and, when you visit our website www.uitinderegio.travelbase.nl, based on the consent that you have given by agreeing to our cookie policy.

Which data do we process?
To make the booking or ordering process run as smoothly as possible, we need information from you. In the appendix to this privacy statement you can see exactly which of your data we collect and process.

Data that we share with others
Stichting Bureau Toerisme acts as an intermediary between you and your host when you book accommodation. We provide your host with the necessary data to finalize the booking. Using this data, your host can inform you of the details of your booking and bid you a warm welcome to the Rivierenland region.

Confidentiality
All employees of Stichting Bureau Toerisme who have access to your data are bound by a strict duty of confidentiality regarding all personal data of which they gain knowledge as a result of such access.

Security
Our systems and programmes are secured in the manner that laws and regulations require.
The website uses HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure, HTTPS for short. Data that you enter on our website is encrypted so that outsiders can never see what information is being sent. The green lock symbol in your browser’s URL bar shows that this protocol is used.

Upon receipt, we store your data in a secure database. This database is located in a heavily secured Dutch data centre.
We will never pass on your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

Viewing, modifying or deleting your data
Would you like to see which of your personal data we possess? Or would you like to change or delete the data about you in our system? No problem. You can do this yourself by logging into your ‘My Uitinderegio’ area on our website. Or you can request us to do so by post or email.

How long do we keep your data for?
We will store your data no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is collected or subsequently processed.

Appendix: overview of personal data processed
Stichting Bureau Toerisme may process the following personal data of you:

Gender and surname
When we communicate with you, we like to address you in a personal way. We think it’s more polite.

Address and place of residence
We need your address details so that we can send documents to you by post after you have made a booking, if necessary. If you order an item from our webshop, we would like to deliver it as fast as possible to the right address using the right name.

Telephone number
If necessary, we would like to be able to get in touch with you quickly about your holiday. We’ll give you a call if anything is unclear or to quickly answer any questions you may have.

Travel party
When you book a holiday with us, we’d like to know how many adults, children (including babies) and pets you are coming with. This will allow the host to prepare for your arrival in the best possible way.

Payment details
To enable you to pay for your holiday, ticket or order, we use a secure payment platform. If you pay by Mastercard, Visa or Bancontact/MisterCash, we do not receive any information about your credit card details.
If you pay by PayPal, we receive the email address of your PayPal account in addition to your address.
If you pay with online banking or by bank transfer, we can see your IBAN on our bank statement.

IP address
We check your IP address in accordance with our cookie policy.

Email address
We confirm your booking or order by e-mail. We email you when we expect you to pay a deposit and we also confirm receipt of full payment by email. Shortly before you come to Rivierenland we’ll send you an e-mail with the latest tips for your holiday and afterwards we’ll ask you via e-mail about your experiences during your holiday in Rivierenland. After your stay, you’ll receive an email request to write a review.

With your permission, we’ll also send you a regular Rivierenland newsletter, full of tips, stories and offers. If you no longer wish to receive it, you can simply click the Unsubscribe button in the newsletter.

Customer service
You can communicate with us via e-mail and social media. To continuously improve our service, we analyse our contact with you. This gives us a lot of information. Obviously, we’ll contact you by telephone if necessary.

My Uitinderegio
When you place an order or make a booking with us, you’ll automatically get your own ‘My Uitinderegio’ area. This is your personal account, where we can communicate with you. It contains your personal details such as your name, address, date of birth, telephone number and login details. We also store details of previous holidays and orders in your account.

Reviews
You can help other holidaymakers by writing a review. By sharing your experiences you give others even better insight into what an accommodation has to offer. We keep track of the reviews that you write and they will also be listed in your ‘My Uitinderegio’ area. On the website, your review will show your city of residence and the month and year of your stay. We will also use your nationality and the type of party you’re travelling with to filter reviews.

Bespoke advice
We would love to make your visit to Rivierenland a great experience. That’s why we like to get to know you better. When you visit our website, like us on Facebook or order something from us, we remember your preferences. We do the searching for you and inform you about great offers, for example by e-mail. We also use your data to improve our websites.
